OXY 70 NEX Portable Dissolved Oxygen Meter

The XS OXY 70 NEX is the advanced portable oxymeter in the XS Instruments NEX series, designed and manufactured in Italy by Giorgio Bormac. It is built for aquaculture, wastewater and water treatment, environmental fieldwork, aquariums, brewing and beverage production, and any application where reliable dissolved oxygen readings are needed on site.

The instrument measures DO from 0.00 to 50.0 mg/l with 0.01/0.1 resolution, oxygen saturation from 0 to 600% and barometric pressure from 300 to 1100 mbar. Calibration is automatic on one or two points between 0% and 100%, with automatic compensation for temperature and barometric pressure and manual salinity compensation from 0 to 70 ppt. The optical LDO sensor removes the routine cost and downtime of membranes, refills and polarisation associated with polarographic probes.

The high-resolution backlit TFT display has eight brightness levels and a Multiview screen showing up to four parameters at once, including temperature. Guided on-screen setup and calibration keep operation simple, with a stability indicator, MIN/MAX alarm thresholds and HOLD function to freeze the reading.

Traceability is built in. GLP functions cover date, time, calibration data display and a calibration expiry setting with measurement lockout. The data logger records manually or automatically up to 1000 readings tagged with Sensor ID, User ID and Sample ID, protected by a password, and downloads to PC over USB-C using the free Data Link+ Nex software. The meter is waterproof to IP65, runs on three AA batteries, USB-C or mains, and ships with a zero-oxygen standard, USB cable, power supply, quick manual and a hard-shell recycled polypropylene case.
