Your LP-200 air Pump is extremely reliable and under the right conditions it can last years.
However if you are running it 24/7 and you notice a decrease in air volume after 1-2 years, its most likely the diaphragms that need replacement. We recommend you replace both diaphragms and not only the one that is ruptured.
There process is not too complicated and there are many videos on YouTube showing you how to do it.
Replacement Steps
- Unplug the air pump and let it cool completely.
- Remove the top metal or aluminum casing housing bolts.
- Locate the side chamber blocks covering the rubber diaphragms.
- Unscrew the retaining screws and washers holding the old damaged diaphragm.
- Fit the new rubber diaphragm securely into the alignment grooves.
- Reassemble the casing parts carefully without pinching the rubber edges
