pH 7 NEX Portable pH Meter
The XS pH 7 NEX is the entry-level model in the XS Instruments NEX series of portable pH meters, conceived, designed and manufactured in Italy. It suits users who need dependable pH readings on site without the cost of GLP data management, making it a good fit for water treatment operators, farms, food producers, schools and general laboratory work.
Operation is deliberately simple. All functions are reached through five buttons, and guided on-screen procedures walk the operator through setup and calibration. Automatic pH calibration recognises USA and NIST buffers on up to 3 points, plus 2 user-defined points, and ORP calibrates automatically on a single 475 mV point.
The high-resolution backlit TFT display has eight levels of adjustable brightness, so readings stay clear in bright sun or dim plant rooms. It shows the buffers used for calibration and a stability icon, with three selectable stability levels to balance speed against precision. The meter can be checked against a simulator at 4, 7 and 10 pH with a calibration report, and internal memory holds up to 100 measurements with a recall function.
The instrument is ergonomic and waterproof to IP65, and runs on three AA batteries. DHS versions recognise digital electrodes and load their stored calibration automatically, while the FOOD versions come with the 2 Pore T penetration electrode for meat, cheese and other semi-solid samples. Every unit ships with alkaline batteries, coloured pH buffer solutions, user manual and a hard-shell carrying case made from 100% recycled polypropylene.
