AMS Shallow Water Bottom Dredge

Ideal for obtaining most types of bottom material! The dredge’s two-way mechanism prevents accidental closure while the dredge is in transit. A spring-loaded release mechanism is triggered once the dredge makes impact with the bottom. Stainless steel screening on the top reduces frontal shock wave and prevents loss of the sample. The 6” x 6” opening provides an effective sampling area of 36 square inches. Jaws, top screen, side plates, underlip plate, screen frame, fasteners, and hinge pin constructed of stainless steel. Exterior weights and closing arms are powder-coated steel
